Tribal Wars
First Impressions
Tribal Wars is a free, Browser-based, Quasi-real-time Strategy game. You start with a humble village, and build it up to become a fearsome neighbor. Getting into a tribe is essential in this game, hence the name. Typical of most RTS, your attention is divided between building up defenses at home to ward off attacks, constructing your buildings and upgrading them to get more resources and advance your village, and mounting offenses to nearby villages to harvest their resources.

Basic Information:

Building anything in this game takes time. This is a good game to play while at work, as once you get your buildings upgraded well, it make take a few hours to upgrade them again. Also, while you're waiting you'll want to get resources to continue growing, so upgrading your three resources is always top priority.

Here's a little guide for starting off. If anyone has any comments/questions/suggestions please post them.

You cannot be attacked until after 5 days. But you can attack anyone's village that is more than 5 days old. Hence, right now there's no need to build up defenses and offenses.

Your main focus should be on Resources. Trimber Camp, Clay Pit, and Iron Mine. Those should always be the buildings you upgrade first.
Now since you can upgrade two buildings at a time, you can also upgrade your HQ, to get barracks, then both to get a Smithy, then your Smithy.

You want to have scouts and light clavery at day 5, so you need to get a stable. That requires upgrading your HQ, Smithy, and barracks.

Buildings also recommended to get, if for example you are building your timber camp, but don't have enough money for another resource, are Rally Point and Statue. They are only level 1 max anyway. And make sure to keep your warehouse not too low, as then you can't store enough resources!

Now, at day 4, you can start constructing a Wall, and building up your Ware House and Hiding place some more.

Then you can start sending out your scouts at everyone to find decent farmable villages!
